This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules and restrictions for using AtrioMail services, including access through atriomail.com, system.atriomail.com, and any other subdomains operated by AtrioSolutions LLC (“AtrioMail”, “we”, “our”, “us”).
Our goal is to provide a secure, reliable, and compliant email hosting service. By registering for and using AtrioMail, you agree to abide by this AUP. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.
1. Prohibited Uses
You may not use AtrioMail services to:
- Send Unsolicited Emails (Spam):
- No bulk unsolicited commercial email (spam).
- No use of purchased, rented, or third-party email lists.
- All recipients must have explicitly opted in.
- Phishing and Fraudulent Activity:
- No impersonation of others, fake sender addresses, or deceptive headers.
- No attempts to obtain sensitive information (passwords, financial data) through fraudulent means.
- Malware or Harmful Content:
- No distribution of viruses, trojans, worms, or any malicious code.
- No hosting or linking to malware.
- Illegal Activity:
- No use of AtrioMail to engage in or promote illegal activity under Delaware law, U.S. law, or applicable EU laws.
- No content that infringes intellectual property rights of others.
- Abuse of Service:
- No actions that may disrupt or overload our infrastructure (denial-of-service, excessive API calls, abusive traffic).
- No reselling or sharing access outside of agreed reseller terms.
2. Email Sending Rules
To maintain deliverability and comply with industry standards, the following apply:
- All emails must include accurate sender information.
- Emails must include a clear unsubscribe or opt-out method.
- You are responsible for the reputation of domains and IPs you use.
- AtrioMail may limit or block sending if we detect abnormal patterns (e.g., high bounce rates, spam complaints).
3. Security Requirements
- You must secure your login credentials and not share them with unauthorized users.
- You must ensure that any applications or scripts connecting to AtrioMail do not expose vulnerabilities.
- If you discover a security issue, you must notify us immediately at [email protected].
4. Monitoring and Enforcement
- AtrioMail may monitor usage for compliance with this AUP.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts violating this AUP without prior notice.
- We may block or remove content that breaches this AUP.
- Reports of abuse can be sent to [email protected].
5. Data Protection
- You must comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR where relevant.
- You are responsible for obtaining consent from your end users before sending them communications.
- AtrioMail acts as a Data Processor and does not accept liability for misuse of customer-controlled data.
6. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time. Updated versions will be posted on our website. Continued use of AtrioMail after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
